Maximizer CRM 2020 R1 - Release Note

Password reset on first login

After upgraded to 2020 R1 release, users will be prompted to reset their passwords the first time they log in to Maximizer Web Access.

Windows Authentication

Deployment with Windows Authentication

If you are planning on using Windows Authentication for security, the SQL Server and Application Server need to be on the domain. The IIS Server needs to either be on your domain or is in at least a one-way trust with your domain. Follow the deployment guide to set up the new configuration required with Maximizer.

Deploy sample databases with Windows Authentication

If you have deployed Maximizer with Windows Authentication and need to access the sample databases, you need to remove the databases from the Available Address Books list and create new databases by employing the sample databases.

Move Address Book to a new SQL server

If a Maximizer Address Book in version 2020 R1 format is moved from one SQL server to another, after the Address Book is restored and employed, it is necessary to map the maximizer_system SQL login from the SQL server to the Maximizer Address Book DB as maximizer_system user with dbo database role. View details in the datasheet.

Security changes affecting integrations

Starting from version 2020 R1, authentication through user ID and password will no longer be supported. If you have any integrations using user ID and password to authenticate, you will need to change to token based authentication. See more details in the datasheet.

The following products are not supported in 2020 R1 release:
