How to Sync Data Between a UDF in Maximizer and a Custom Field in MailChimp

How to sync the data from a User-Defined Field in Maximizer to an already existing a Custom Field in MailChimp by mapping the field in MailChimp with the field in Maximizer.
If you have a Drop-down type Custom Field in MailChimp, you can sync the data from a Table type User-Defined Field in Maximizer to the Drop-down type Custom Field in MailChimp by mapping the fields.

To map a Table type User-Defined Field in Maximizer to the Drop-down type Custom Field in MailChimp:

  1. Go to the MailChimp tab and select Maximizer Connect Setup.

  1. Click Map Fields.

  1. Click Add Field (for the MailChimp field you’d like to map).

  1. Click Select beside the Table type User-Defined Field (in Maximizer) you would like the Drop-down Custom field in MailChimp to be mapped to. Then click OK.

What’s important here is: the Options in the Drop-down type Custom field in MailChimp and the Items in the Table type User-Defined field in Maximizer must be exactly the same.

Example

If your Drop-down type Custom field in MailChimp has the Options, “item1, “item2”, and “items3”.

The Table type User-Defined field in Maximizer must have the Items “item1”, “item2”, and “item3”.

Items exist but not the other.

The sync will fail.

Example

If the Table type User-Defined field in Maximizer the Items “item1”, “item2”, “item3”, and “item4”

But the Drop-down type Custom field in MailChimp only has the Options “item1, “item2”, and “items3”,

The sync will fail.

Spelling is important (*it must be exactly the same in both)
