Modify Multiple Entries Using Global Edit

To complete this procedure, you must have the Allow Global Edit privilege.

You can use the Global Edit command to modify multiple entries at once.

  1. Create a list of entries to modify.

In the current list, select the entries you want to modify.

  • Click the checkbox to the left of entries.
  1. Select Edit > Global Edit.
  1. Locate your fields in the Fields drop-down list.
For many basic fields, you can select Remove to remove existing values for a field without specifying alternative values. For user-defined fields, use the Remove rule to remove all values or specific values from a field.
  1. In the Rules drop down list, select your desired rule.

  • To add the selected values to the existing values, select Add when empty, Append or Replace.
  • To remove the selected values from the existing values, select Remove or Clear.
  1. Select the Value(s) from the drop-down list.
  2. Click OK to save the changes.
  • You are prompted with a message to verify that you want to continue with the operation.

  1. Click OK to run the global edit.
